About
Reich Landscape Architecture, formerly known as Reich Associates, was founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1962 by Dr. Robert S. Reich. For forty years, Dr. Reich led the landscape architecture program at Louisiana State University, now one of the top in the nation. Perhaps the most valuable of his attributes was his ability to evaluate and make use of the inherent character of a site and environment, along with his empathy for the needs and desires of people. Our team at Reich, led by principal and owner William (Bill) Reich, embodies these qualities, enabling us to produce solutions sensitive to the needs of the client, the users, and the intrinsic nature of the site.
Reich Landscape Architecture is the oldest continually operating landscape architecture firm in the state of Louisiana. Our projects have included historic landscape renovation; greenway corridors; parks and recreation facilities; urban design; state and local parks; campus planning; office and commercial complexes; resort and mixed-use communities; educational, religious, and medical institutions; subdivisions; sustainable design; and residential garden designs. As landscape architects, our commitment to the environment is tempered by an understanding of the pressures of urban development, maintenance issues, and governmental processes.
